It is well said that not all superheroes wear capes, so with this motive and sole determination once again Gaia Bharat conducted CAPTAIN PLANETWORKSHOP, an initiative towards Swacch Abhiyan to aware our youth of waste and its management, and make them responsible citizens of our country and planet.
This time, the workshop was conducted on the 9th & 12th of July, respectively, for classes 6th to 12th at two of the most renowned schools of Ghaziabad, India, “Greenfield Public School” & “Delhi Public School HRIT Campus”. We had an audience of 400+ students and Boy, were they thrilled!
The workshop was mainly carried out to make the young generation learn about their waste generation and the significance of waste separation and also to teach them about which waste goes into blue bins (dry) and green bins (wet), to teach them the proper waste management system.
The event started with an interesting Introductory speech by the team members and then it was followed by an interactive presentation.
Later, the main part which had instilled and made the children excited where our “WWW – Which Waste goes Where” Game, in which we made them play a practical game on how to separate waste in different bins, and next we provide them with a Quiz whose primary motive was to impart and test the knowledge regarding waste.
Finally, as a token of participation, we distributed wet & dry dustbins for their classrooms so that they can have a daily practical and visual practice of waste segregation.
And as the last part of the workshops, we make the children take an oath which is a promise towards taking care of their earth, home, and environment in every way possible. And to promise to be a responsible citizen of India.
It was indeed a very interactive and knowledgeable session with the young generation to inculcate them about managing and the daily practice of separating the waste while disposing of it, thus making it easier and clean further. Students and teachers took part wholeheartedly and completely enjoyed the session. And it was a great pleasure for Gaia Bharat to help our young generation and make them learn and connect with the environment.
Solving environmental problem not only depends on creating awareness and imparting knowledge, it also depends on taking practical steps too. This day marks yet another part to make our area, our society, and our nation clean. It yet again is a step towards making:
