As we are moving ahead, the consequences of climate change and the environment are right in front of us. And it is not only affecting humans but our agricultural harvest and practices, too.
And here comes in the picture a MODERN FARM!
The word modern farming means using modern technologies, techniques, and science to increase farming production. Various types of modern farming methods which are used nowadays are agribusiness, intensive farming, organic farming, sustainable agriculture, etc.
Our team, after going has been working on creating a modern farm. Since we have been researching the problems of the farming industry which is facing tremendous challenges, from rising costs of supplies, a shortage of labor, and changes in consumer preferences for transparency and sustainability.
By assuming some parameters for creating an ideal modern farm, we are designing a modern farm for an area of one hectare by inculcating all the important parameters that will help us in conserving the resources, like:
Use rainwater harvesting to capture water
Save the water in a storage tank or pond and Use the saved water efficiently in the farming
Completely enclosed farm to prevent bugs/ insects/ animals
Proper drip irrigation from the roof
IoT smart devices to monitor the soil/ water/ moisture
We are trying to inculcate some of India’s Smart Agriculture Strategies like:
The application of sensors and automated irrigation practices can help monitor agricultural land, temperature, soil moisture, etc.
Climate-smart agriculture CSA is an integrated approach of managing cropland, livestock, forest, and fisheries.
Modern Agriculture makes use of hybrid seeds of a selected variety of a single crop, technologically advanced equipment, chemical irrigation water, fertilizers, pesticides & herbicides.
