Objective: Solid Waste Education program for the Indian Youth (Recycling, Segregation and Disposal).
Problem Statement: Solid Waste Management is an ever growing problem in India. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is an initiative taken by the Indian govt. to solve the waste problem. However, the challenge is people are not motivated or responsible enough to participate in proper waste handling. Apart from all the efforts done by the mission, we are missing the behavioral change in people.
Solution: In this project we are running workshops in schools so that we can educate the youth in India about solid waste management (Recycling, Segregation and Disposal). This will help India in preparing the next generation of responsible citizens who understand the need of recycling, segregation and disposal of waste.
We are working on two types of workshops for schools:
Captain planet workshop in schools (offline).
Online Captain planet workshop.
In the offline workshop, our team from the company and volunteers visit the school and run the workshop. During the workshop, we give presentation, play games, Q&A, oath ceremony and give prizes to the youth to educate and motivate them how to handle the waste.
In the Online Captain planet workshop, we are targeting schools and youth who are not able to organize the physical workshop either due to pandemic or summer holidays or they located in a very remote location/ villages.
